This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information that we collect both offline and online, including through our website at [www.nvef.org] (the “Website”), event registrations, donations, email communications, and other interactions with our programs and services.

We may update this Policy from time to time, as described in the Revisions To This Privacy Policy section below.

Your Consent

Please read this Policy periodically.  You should read this entire Policy before using our Website or submitting information, including personal information, to us in any form.  Whenever you submit personal information to us, whether online or offline, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and storage of that information in accordance with this Policy.

All personal information may be used for the purposes stated in this Policy.  We may make full use of all information that is de-identified, aggregated, or otherwise not in personally identifiable form.

Revisions To This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without advance notice, by posting an updated and revised version on the Website.  We will provide you with notice of any material revisions by posting the new effective date or last edited date of the Privacy Policy. The revisions are effective immediately upon posting and we encourage you to check this Policy often so you are aware of the most current terms and conditions that apply to you. Your use of the Website after such notice is provided indicates your consent to the revised terms.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as when you register for or attend programs or events, complete surveys, make a donation, or sign up for communications. This may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and payment or registration details.

In addition, when you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and usage data. We may also use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality, enable video playback (e.g., YouTube), and help us understand how our site is used. Some of these cookies are set by third parties such as Google/YouTube and may also be used for advertising or analytics purposes.

Use of Cookies
We use cookies to record session information, such as items added to shopping carts or registration forms. These cookies help improve the user experience and site functionality.

We also use cookies to support embedded video playback and may use limited analytics tools. Some cookies are set by third parties, such as Google/YouTube and Google Ads/DoubleClick, which may collect information about your browsing activity across different websites. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you may opt out of interest-based advertising using Google’s ad settings (https://adssettings.google.com) or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page (http://www.aboutads.info/choices/).

Phone and Email Communications
Users who supply us with their telephone numbers or email addresses online will only receive communications from us related to the purpose for which the information was provided, such as program registrations, order confirmations, or follow-up related to participation in our events or services.

If you no longer wish to receive promotional or informational emails, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails or by contacting us directly.

Third-Party Services and Advertising
We do not sell personal information. However, when you use our site, certain third-party services (such as YouTube and Google Ads/DoubleClick) may collect information through cookies and similar technologies. These third parties may use the information they collect to provide video functionality, analytics, or targeted advertising on other sites. You can learn more about Google’s practices here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Links And Third Parties

Our Website may include links to other websites operated by third parties.  We are not responsible for any information on these websites. Your use of these websites or submission of personal information to them is at your own risk and pursuant to the privacy policies of such websites.

Retention Of Personal Information

We will retain your personal information (collected through offline and online methods) for as long as it is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. We will also retain and use your personal information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

We will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes.  Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Services, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Upon request, we provide registered users access to the following:

  • Unique identifiers (e.g., account number or username)
  • Transaction details (e.g., dates and types of purchases or registrations)
  • Contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number)

This information can be accessed and updated by logging into your account or by contacting us directly.
