Give an Apple to the Teacher Each year the NVEF invites parents of students as well as community members to "Give an Apple to the Teacher."   After making a donation to the NVEF, teachers and administrators throughout the school district are surprised with a wrapped apple-shaped gift (in the past they have been ornaments) accompanied by a personalized note-card thanking them for their effots.  "Apples for Teachers" have been sent over the years during varying times throughout the year, but the promotion normally takes place during the December holiday season and/or Valentine's Day in February.   All donations collected during the "Apple For A Teacher" program are distributed right back to the NVUSD, helping to fund deserving enrichment and enhancement programs throughout the district.    The next "Give an Apple to the Teacher" promotion is scheduled for February 2009.
